Mission Fellows 2020
In an effort to support CCDubians who have a desire to participate in ministry outside of Northeast Florida in the summer of 2020, CCW is offering a new leadership program that will provide training and support.
CCW Mission Fellows commit to:
Being an active participant of CCW (student and/or leader)
Connecting with an approved mission organization including on-the-ground contacts
Developing a personal fundraising plan that may include donations, personal savings, events and other means
Commitment to providing updates and reflections before, during and after the trip
Limited to trips outside of NEFL, and a duration of at least 5 days but no more than 2 months
Participant must serve in an 'unpaid' status while on the trip.
OPTIONAL: Can invite other students to join them on mission, but those students must apply to be a mission fellow in order to be included in any aspects of the program.
CCW Support:
Assistance in personal fund-raising plan
Inclusion in CCW-led fundraising activities
Training in best practices for domestic and overseas mission
Access to travel insurance and scholarships through the United Methodist Church*
Spiritual support before, during and after your trip
Deadlines for Spring '20:
Sign up deadline: Feb 9
Mission Trip proposal and finance plan due: Feb 23
Approval of Mission Organization: Feb 29
